Rob Lewis
Rob Lewis MRAC is trained in soil nutrition and agriculture. He managed a 2000 acre arable unit from 1992, developing both a soil nutrition and machinery contracting business that has gone on to expand. Studies into the viability of composting waste started in 1992, driven by a requirement for a cheap source of plant nutrients.
A commercial composting facility was eventually viable and set up in 1999 following extensive research. Rob continued to develop recycling techniques in composting, followed by other waste stream recycling, and eventually expanded into the formation of Alpher Ltd, offering a total waste solution to waste producers incorporating fully permitted operational facilities. Robert supplies many of the technical knowledge for all aspects of the operation and quality specifications, along with land spreading operations and future development of the business.

Alison Lewis
Alison Lewis ACA received an accounting degree in1995 and went on to become a Chartered Accountant, gaining experience working for both large and small auditors including Ernst & Young, both at home and abroad. Alison now works as the financial controller for Alpher Ltd, and brings the wealth of her knowledge to the company.

Peter Bates
Peter Bates is a mature, dynamic, forward thinking individual with over 30 years’ managerial experience. He has forged strong working partnerships with local councils, the Environment Agency, planning departments, and the local community. During his career he has acquired a wealth of skills and knowledge. With a vast amount of his career being in the Civil Service, he has managed large estates for HM Prison Service employing upwards of 50 people. Peter fully understands how this structure operates and the constraints under which it works. He is a highly skilled communicator at all levels with an academic background.
Peter manages with great affect the daily operations at the Alpher operational sites and is responsible for overseeing the smooth and effective running of all contracts.
